About WMI

WMI & Associates Limited was founded in 2007, with the goal of providing a team of forward thinking professionals to serve the private development and public sector needs in the field of civil engineering. Located in downtown Barrie, the WMI team is comprised of Professional Engineers, Certified Engineering Technicians and Administrative staff specializing in the provision of land development and infrastructure solutions.

WMI provides Civil Engineering services to private land developers as well as municipalities undertaking capital work projects (i.e. Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Resort Developments etc.). Our projects include water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, stormwater management systems and facilities and full road construction and reconstruction.

R. David Walter, CET, is a graduate of Sir Sandford Flemming College in Peterborough, Ontario.  David was the owner and operator of a design and drafting company for 15 years and provided engineering services to various engineering firms in the Georgian Bay Area.  Before founding WMI, David served as the Manager of Capital Works for the Town of Penetanguishene.

Stephen Morash, P. Eng., is a graduate of the University of Guelph.  Before founding WMI, Stephen was the Branch Manager of a consulting engineering firm in Collingwood and was responsible for overseeing the marketing of land development engineering work in Ontario.  While working for various firms throughout the Georgian Bay Area, Stephen gained invaluable experience in land development engineering.

Dean A. Ives, P. Eng., is a graduate of the University of Windsor.  Before founding WMI, Dean spent 5 years as a project manager and lead design engineer for a consulting engineering firm in Collingwood and 8 years with a consulting engineering firm in Windsor.  Dean has extensive construction and design engineering experience which when combined with his project and client management expertise, creates a unique skill set and provides a complete perspective.

Jeremy Lightheart, E.I.T., is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. Prior to joining WMI in early 2008, Jeremy spent 3 years with a consulting engineering firm in the Collingwood area. Jeremy has gained considerable experience while working on various civil engineering projects, while specializing in the field of stormwater management.
